What do you mean, " would" be a great first deer gun." ? Should have read "Excellent" Deer Rifle at any level of hunting". An absolute versatile caliber from varmints to deer, and sports excellent ballistics.

    Consider this, A Winchester 100g Power-Point will only be a tad lower than 8" @ 300 yards, just a tad lower than 1/2" @ 200yds, and just under 1-1/2" high @ 100yds.
I'm sure you can find another brand with a higher BC, thus giving a better ballistic trajectory.

I can't believe this rifle is even still on the block. Somebody needs to do some research and grab this for themselves or even for a Christmas gift.
I have a 7400, and it's dropped every deer it shot at. Only a handful over the upteen years have went more than 25yds, with 98% dropping where they stood.
    g/l on this sale.

Yeah but it will never sell because it is not the magical 6.5Creedmoor.
    I mean . . . why would anyone ever want absolutely anything but a 6.5Creedmoor ??
But anyway, best of luck with the sale of your weapon sir. --- SAWMAN

Try this again. Not selling as a bare rifle so I added Truglo 3-9x50 scope, UTG medium height rings and 20 rounds of ammo.
Ready to hunt, sighted 2in high at 100 yds. Should be dead on at 200. Merry Christmas!
