    Item Description
    2000 Dakota Sport

    Engine: 4.7 V8

    Mileage: 284,128
It's still being driven, so mileage will continue to increase until sold.

Interior: In very good condition overall, especially considering the age.
Exterior: A few dents and dings, with a few rust spots, but nothing serious. I added a receiver hitch to occasionally tow a utility trailer; no heavy towing.

    No lifts, mods, etc.
This truck runs great. It's not my daily driver, but it gets driven at least once per week.
During hunting season, it's driven from Pensacola to Butler County, AL two or three times per month (200+ miles roundtrip).
4WD works, A/C and heat work.
    Power windows and locks work.
I have one working key fob remote and one or two non-working.

I've had it for just over 3 years, and I've driven it an average of about 4000 miles per year.

Maintenance items that I've done or had done:

    - Oil (synthetic) and filter changes every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.
    - New alternator, April 2016.
    - New battery, May 2017.
    - New fan clutch, around June 2017.
    - Replace transfer case linkage bushings, August 2017.
    - Replace vehicle speed sensor in rear differential, August 2017.
    - New headlights and fog lights, around September 2017.
    - Replace high/low side service ports, vacuum and recharge A/C system, May 2018.
    - New front brake pads, rotors, calipers, and flex lines, August 2018.
    - New foam in driver's seat, September 2018.

The "check engine" light is on. It has been on since before I bought the truck in 2015. An ODBII scan returns no codes.

One lingering issue: The ECM never sends a ground signal to the relay controlling the electric auxiliary fan motor, therefore, the electric fan will never come on by itself. It's supposed to come on when the coolant temp reaches about 210* (if I remember correctly) or anytime the A/C is on.
I traced every wire in the system, removed and tested the sensors and the relay, and found no failed components. My conclusion was that the ECM is failing to send the ground. I tapped into the wire between the ECM and the aux fan relay and added a manual switch on the lower dash to send a ground to the relay so the aux cooling fan can be turned on manually.

No YETI or Costa stickers on this truck, but I can probably get an Igloo sticker added for an extra $50.00 if you need some extra cool factor in your life.
