So I'm probably the only person in Pensacola who had never tried Brothers Bar-B-Q on Gulf Beach Hwy. OMG it was Fantastic. Best Bar-B-Q ever, and tons of it at a very good price. Now to the subject. They sell their own smoked mullet that comes vacuum packed in pouches and is refrigerated before being sold. How do I heat, or do I heat the smoked mullet before eating it? I grew up on fried mullet, and still eat it every chance I get, but I've never had smoked mullet. So, I bought some at Brothers Bar-B-Q and since it is vacuum packed and refrigerated I don't know how to properly prepare it to be eaten. Help Please! Any and all advice welcome on how to prepare this smoked mullet to be eaten. Thanks guys.

I would try warming it in a toaster oven at low temp. Definitely wouldn't nuke it. Most I've eaten was at room temperature.

If they are vacuum sealed, try dropping it in boiling water for a couple minutes. I smoke mullet quite often and after it has been refrigerated, I just eat it cold. You can mash it up and add it to cream cheese for a tasty cracker spread. I have even done it like tuna salad but adding mayo, sweet pickle relish and chopped onion and then make you a sandwich. Enjoy!
