    Leave it to the Army to want to re-invent the wheel. Instead of improving the marksmanship of its soldiers, they want to change the weapon system to accept a more lethal round. They need to adopt the Marine Corps' philosophy when it comes to marksmanship. Every Marine is first and foremost, a rifleman.

    Yep . . . "re-invent the wheel" is about right.
    Surprised the military does not want to switch to a 6.5Creedmoor to kick doors in with.
    Personally I think they should have been happy with the Colt 1911and M1A,then modify to a 14" bbl for those "special" ocassions. --- SAWMAN
