    I have shot 7.62x51 Mal 147gr,,, but was told at Ubers the chamber was safe enough to shoot 150gr Winchester to hunt with back many moons ago when I had Mr Uber add the scope mount... And the mount can be removed without and drilled holes to change the original military receiver Hope that helps out Thanks olecarver
