Looking for a lower power scope for a Marlin 45/70 guide gun. Something like a 2X7 would be perfect. Blue or silver.

On my Marlin1895 I had a 1-4X24 Leupold Heavy Duplex. These scopes are designed for shotguns and muzzleloaders.
They are set parallax free at 75yds,are only 9.5 inches long, and the Heavy Duplex is a real plus during hours of low light.
They can be had for just over $200.,and under if Cabela's has their discount program going on.
Their is also a 2-7X33 offered. --- SAWMAN

Thanks for the info Sawman ! I think the 2X7 is the way to go for sure. I really like the Nikons. I had an issue with one a few years back and they replaced in 3 days. Have a great day buddy !
