What is the difference , Not selling for the CMP they belong to Me. Now if you asking about the history that is a different. If you are interested in burying one will be glad to discuss that. Have spent a lot of time and money in getting some Quality M-1 s together over the last 45 yrs. And have enjoyed doing it and learning. But the time has come to turn some lose. No one to leave it to. Have loss interest. And I don't have to really sale . Thanks jj

No offense intended. I ask because I love the history of these rifles. It makes the rifle all that more interesting if you piece together the history of the rifle. And yes the CMP documentation if applicable is a part of the history of the rifle. I went to Anniston and bought one for my son. Springfield 875xxx. I fell in love with the Garand in the process of getting him one. My father in law also bought a WRA with matching barrel at the same time. So having given you all that background info, yes I'm always in the market for an M1 Garand for my own collection and to pass on to my son's (3) or 2 Grandsons. It's an iconic piece of our heritage that needs to be preserved and protected so that future generations will never forget the sacrifices that were made for the freedom that we/they have today.

In that regard, asking questions before the purchase of any fire arm in a very important part of the process. I appreciate the struggle you must be going through in parting with these beautiful rifles. I would love to ask more questions and learn more from you, but if this is this response I get for asking a simple questions, I am apprehensive. I will leave that decision to you. I look forward to your reply.
    With respect sir,
    Thank you

JJ has told me thst his preferred way of doing buisness on this forum is by phone and/or in person. I suggest that someone wanting to know more info on these guns, simply give him a call.
For those of you that do not know jj,he is a (the) authority on these weapons. In a phone call he can tell the serious buyer absolutely anything they will need to know in order to make an informed buying decission.
He is an honest, straightforward seller and a pleasure to do buisness with . . . and learn from. --- SAWMAN

Even if you don't buy, a trip to JJ's place is worth going.

I concur.. jj prefers in person, or on the phone, it is a ways up there, even from Molino, but I found it ,and found my way back, it aint that hard..

you will learn some going there, he is very knowledgeable, if he cannot do something in his machine shop, it probably cant be done...

I have seen a couple of his M1, they are nice.

I personally do not care if all parts match numbers, some do, but not me...if it works and is not worn out is my concern.

he lives there, but has a large machine shop, not to worry about traipsing up his home.

and has a 100 yrd range to shoot first, buy later

when I went there, there were two others already there chatting and doing work on barrells

Give it a shot - you won't be sending guns back to the manufacturer anymore.

yeah S&W still has that thing.... for the second time... Before I run to Jay, I'll look at the pictures to make sure its something I want. if it is, I'll make the trip, if not, then I didn't waste his time. Not really sure I want another M1 anyways. but I was in the Navy, so that might be interesting to have a Navy 308...

Saw- Be careful what you wish for. IF JJ buys a house next door your property values are gonna tank! Of course, if he leaves Jay mine will go up. Maybe not such a bad idea :usa2:

I know how to do it I watched a u-tube, Then why is it not working right. I don't try and fit something on the PH or on PM's. I don't know what you have done to it. JJ!!

Is it time for another swap meet?

I'm not sure the market makes it worth the time/effort but the last one was fun.

SAW......be careful what you wish for. JJ moves in next door and your property value will fall like a fat kid on a seesaw. Of course, if he moves out of Jay my property value will increase so maybe it is a good idea after all :usa2:
