    Item: USGI M1 Carbine (Saginaw)

    Contact Info: PM

Price: $800 cash ($950 trade value) ***SOLD***

Item Description: M1 carbine with one USGI 30rd magazine. Picked this up at the Shrine show a couple weeks ago - found another carbine since then, don’t need two. Gun looks good, has the typical wear and tear of a GI carbine. I believe it has a ‘43 barrel. Asking less than I have in it, and trade value is what it was originally marked. As far as trades go, right now I’m looking for a couple different things.

    Trades:

    • HK P30SK V1 or V3
    • HK45C
    • P229 9mm
    • Bergara HMR in .308 or 6.5 CM
    • Remington 700 in .308 or 6.5 CM
    • Ruger RPR in .308 or 6.5 CM
    • Tikka T3 in .308 or 6.5 CM
    • Trijicon MRO, Aimpoint PRO or ACO, maybe variable 1-6 optics

Any questions let me know - thanks for looking.

Is there an import stamp on the barrel? It's in an M2 stock that appears scrubbed. Is it birch or walnut? Thanks!

    Art,

The stock is birch and the barrel is marked Saginaw S.G. Div. General Motors. While I was checking the rifle, I noticed there is a faint stamp on the underside of the barrel that I can't discern; it's a fairly long marking. After looking at import stamps online, it is possibly "ARL ORD ARLINGTON VA", but it's almost like the top half of the stamp didn't contact the metal properly.

    Fear21,

Arlington ORD imported M1 carbines came in from Korea in the 90's. I have a low number Inland they brought back and it's been a fine shooter. These have a nicer metal finish than most other imports. Only about 8% of all the millions of M1 carbines were made by Saginaw, so it's much less common. GLWTS!

Bump, shoot me an offer. Worst I can say is no thanks.

Open to trades + cash, multi trades, etc. Also interested in combloc AKs, Scorpion EVO 3, AR10s... tapped out on AR15s though.
