Been out of the buying game for a while. What local dealers are offering the most affordable transfer fees these days? Thanks in advance everyone.

Most are pretty close in fees with a couple high bidders. Really depends on what's convenient for you. Even what side of town you live on. Some FFLs are just cool to go see so it's worth the drive.

Most that I've found are $50. Gander Mtn used to charge $75. I forgot to ask what Gander Outdoors is going to charge. Nice to see that some aren't too high... yet. Internet sales are hurting LGS so they're making up for it by higher transfer fees. Might also be because I live right next to the NAS and military get discounts on guns online and they have them shipped in so there's a lot more transfers here.

thanks for all the feedback. definitely going to have a look at Title II. It's literally 2 blocks from my in laws house. Never even realized it was there. Used to use TGD. When it first opened up they were 15 dollars a pop for GCGF members. His has gone up to $35, which is reasonable, but after shipping and FFL, you might as well just go pay retail, rather than use Gunbroker. I have purchased plenty of firearms locally, but there is something about winning on a low bid :)

$20 gets you up to 3 serial numbers. Each additional SN after that is an additional $5.

IMO . . . - - -> For a shop ( store front buisness) that is manned during normal working hours,$30. for a single, simple transfer is plenty to charge. Above that I would feel taken advantage of.
I feel lucky that I/we have FFL's like Nate that give us a good deal on transfers. ---- SAWMAN

I disagree. 4473 can take over an hour at times... if you're running a business, why would you tie up one of your employees helping someone who didn't even buy from you in the first place for anything less than $30? I completely understand why Mike's charges $50... hell, I'd charge $100 if it was me.

You won’t have any trouble getting a transfer handled for $100, don’t matter ,it’s good to see a high roller come through.

INCORRECT. It’s $50, and due to a very unique policy, the owner will not give you your gun the day it arrives.

Since I’m in Pensacola,I use USA Performance (the auto parts shop on 29), great guys, very reasonably priced at $25, good location, normal storefront with good regular business hours, prompt, polite, personal service, and a good dose of free puppy breath.
    Can’t beat that!!

KT in Baghdad is good people, Nate in Milton is awesome and really knows the class III business, Title II in GB is also a great guy, but do know that these guys by appointment only.

The last few transfers I’ve done I’ve used Nick at Patriot Arms in Fort Walton. $20 for the transfer and $5 for the background check

To clarify;. $20 gets you up to 3 serial numbers. Each additional SN after that is an additional $5.

I have been thinking about doubling my fee.

    That sounds like a plan!!
