As to what the ATF considers to be the part(s) that need to registered depends on the particular gun. For the UZI I do not know what part concerns them. I would quickly throw it away somewhere very deep. I would then findout if the bolt is the critical part. I am guessing since it is intended for open bolt firing that it would not work in a semiauto UZI receiver, but I sure do not know. You would have to already own a live registered receiver.
Here I found you a transferable Uzi...

kendive, yeah, i'm a big lage fan. and with suppressed more rounds is better. now i'm waiting for my name to
come up on the Max 11/15 list.
Some one once let me and several others fire his full auto mak 9 that was fitted with an AR buffer tube and stock. It really slowed down the rate of fire and was very controllable at 50 yards by a novice like myself. This fellow and his friends had all sorts of mahineguns including a vickers and browning 30 mg.Nice is that the .223 conversion for the M11??? I would be interested in that also. Hell I would probably but another M11 just for it.
kendive, the upper in the pic is from lage but is for the suomi 9mm 70 rnd drums and 50 rnd stick mags.
i think lage has gotten approval for the max 11/15 .556 upper but hasn't gone into full production yet but do have some beta units in the field being tested. there's a waiting list and i'm number 336 so i'll have to wait awhile. there are several threads over at uzitalk. this one is about caliber conversions for the upper:
