I control what I watch on NETFLIX and control what my kids watch so I'll just make sure nobody watches anything produced by the Odumbas. There just not anything out there right now that I can substitute for NETFLIX or I would. My goal is to eventually drop cable or satellite TV all together one of these days.

I recently saw a movie called Copenhagen on Netflix that I randomly found and watched because the cover photo reminded me of Amsterdam where I had many good times. The most emotionally intense movie I've ever seen. I rarely watch movies more than once and have seen this one at least a half a dozen times. Give it a chance to play out, in the beginning it is a little hard to watch because one of the two main characters is a real asshole, but that's his character, the guy is an excellent actor (he's played by Gethin Anthony who is actually English but pulls off the ugly American character perfectly, no trace of an English accent, he's also on the HBO series Game of Thrones). The film was shot in 26 days on a micro budget. The other main person in the movie played by Frederikke Dahl Hansen, a virtually unknown Danish actress, plays her character perfectly as well.

My daughter just put us on her account and I’m not real sure what to watch.
I’ve been catching up on episodes of Longmire and that’s about it.
Haven’t really seen any movies that interest me.
I was hoping the new Death Wish was on there but no such luck.

I watched Hostiles last night. Good movie. Also watched Heat and Way of the Gun. Rekindled my love for cold war weapons such as the Galil, HK91, CAR15 etc.

Free State of Jones just appeared on Netflix.
Based on true story (loosely cause I have the book).

Another book on the subject that I don’t have is “Echo of the Black Horn”.

About a Mississippi fella named Newt Knight and the Civil War.
Gets a bellyfull of being a poor man’s fight in a rich mans war.
    https://youtu.be/3EMkxEKKSQI
Organizes Jones County Mississippi to resist the Confederacy and the Yankees.

On Netflix I like Daredevil and Punisher. On Amazon - Jack Ryan was not bad at all.

Daredevil was alright, I really enjoyed the Punisher series. Ol' boy from The Walking Dead was great in that role.

I thought the Jack Ryan series was fantastic. The level of production for that show was on par with any major blockbuster movie. We'll see if Amazon can continue to afford that level of production, I sure hope so. I went into it knowing that it was going to be a modern day take on the Tom Clancy character, and that it would probably have nothing to do with the books. But they did actually use some of the actual Jack Ryan backstory with the new Jack Ryan, so I was happy.

I always meant to watch Free State of Jones. Now that it's on Netflix I'll definitely have to watch it.
