I think im going to have George @ Ammo Dump international build me a 16” 458 socom. Any feedback about George’s products or the 458 will be appreciated.

Do you reload? A coworker wanted a big bore and went with .450 Bushmaster due to the cost of factory ammo. He does not reload. I have no experience with any big bore calibers

I have been kicking around a big bore gun here lately as well. I too wanted a .458socom... because, well, they are badass. But the cost if ammunition/reloading has pushed me towards the 450bushmaster as well.

I owned a 50Beowulf for quite some time. Killed some hogs and deer with it.
I would not reccomend it. Even for guys that reload. Between the 450Bushmaster and the 458Socom I would pick the 450Bushmaster.
But - - -> Why not take a look at a true powerhouse(for the reloader). 45Raptor. A true high pressure chambering. Essentially a 460S&W Mag. (60,000psi) Gives you longer range possibilities also. ---- SAWMAN

I bought the Ammo Dump 458 yesterday. Should be ready in 2 or 3 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes- I appreciate the feedback.
