Finally got hands on with the SBA3 brace.

BLUF: I don't think the adjustability and the "cool factor" of the SBA3 make it worth the double cost of the Shockwave.

Since the braces blew back up after the BATFE second(third??) opinion about the usage of braces, I 've been a fan of the shockwave. It provides lots of adjustment(not on the fly though), is a stable "brace" to shoot from and it's been the cheapest option. When I saw the SBA3, the looks grabbed my attention and I was excited about having a "brace" that you could adjust on the fly that wasn't metal and well into the high $100s. Once I got one in my hands, I wasn't impressed with the feel of the SBA3. It works but it doesn't have the firmness of the Shockwave. Once the shockwave is setup for your preffered LOP, I could care less about the quick adjust on the A3. Your thoughts feelings may vary. Just an observation.

    Shockwave: Cheap, stable.
SBA3: On the fly adjustable, tacticool and a sling mount on the "brace".

PS. There's the shockwave 2.0 that's supposed to be on the fly adjustable but it's missing the QD mount.

Sb is at the forefront but their options are high priced. I thought the mini version would be a nice option but it's $80 for a few ounces of rubber. They've got to be making a killing on these things. I imagine it's cheap to produce a shockwave too but at least their cheaper to buy.

I tried the "Grab A Quote" on this a few days ago out of curiosity and they emailed me a quote of $109 (plus whatever the shipping is), good for 24hrs. Don't know if that's considered a good price because I'm not in the market for one and haven't been shopping them.

    SAD !!
We all know that 99.9% of all these braces are shouldered. Got it !!
So why in the hell do the manufacturer's fail to list the LOP(s) when their products are added to a weapon ?? ---- SAWMAN
