    Your crazy !!
Please explain what you are looking for that gun to do.
I look at my Moss/Shock as a extremely close range SD gun against human targets. That's it for me.
I would be extremely surprised if any of the local guys could accomplish this. The bbl would have to go to a professional gunshop/gunsmith. If you want to get a "taste" for the cost, call or go see Rick Rankin at Pensacols Lock &Gun on Garden St.
Take a chair with you. ---- SAWMAN

Thanks guys. It's going to be something I can carry in my RV. Double duty with Mini shells, but if I feel like walking the woods I can put a choke in it with full length shells

I would play around with an improved or modified choke to see how it patterns. There are a couple of articles on the web. Watched a guy on youtube take 3 deer with one using reduced recoil buckshot loads. I think his max distance was 30 yards with the open bore

I shot two rds of 3",#4 buck and two rds of 3","000" buck out of my gun. That is about all you can hang on to. Hard to target with the expected recoil and blast over pressure. --- SAWMAN

    Three day wait . . . ?? . . . for a Moss/Shock ?? --- SAWMAN
Added: Remember to read over the older posts about this gun. Good info for a new owner there.

If I remember correctly, the Remington chokes are more pricey than the Mossberg chokes. Unless you have rem chokes in hand, might want to check on that before committing to rem chokes in a mossy.

For any projects that require precise machining I strongly suggest you talk to Alan at Ole Frontier Gunshop. It is a well equipped machine shop. To do that particular work it depends on if he has reamers and such. Likely he does.
He also does rebuilding of industrial equipment.
Not like anyplace you have ever been in.
I would give him a call. He is not inexpensive, but does quality work.

He has been in business here since the 80's

May I please add - - -> watch out for that personality of his.
Quite a few years ago I wanted a 50cal M/L chopped and recrowned. After he got thru telling me how stoopid I was for wanting that,I called him several dirty names and walked out.
Since then,I have heard horror stories about his personality. But nothing negative about his work.
Walk into his shop with caution. (IMHO) ---- SAWMAN

I have managed to get along with him over the last 30 years, but yeah with him the customer is not always right lol.
The last thing he did for me was done right and was not hard. It was mounting a rail on a Kimber Target .45. He did closely examine the pistol and told me he could feel that the machining of the slide and frame was not absolutely true. It functioned well enough, but he is a perfectionist relative to machining.
I have not been by there since and should stop by.
