It'll be a few days before the Precision is shot. The scope I took off the Target has Weaver high rings. They weren't high enough for the Precision due to its hand guard, so I've ordered extra high. The Target model seems to prefer standard velocity for better accuracy, with Eley Target, Aquila std velocity, Gemtech subsonic, and Wolf MT shooting more accurate than the common bulk Federal and Remington .22 HV. HV was OK for plinking though. Aquila std velocity shoots well in a lot of my firearms and is not expensive.

Bump for a Monday morning. Did fire my new Precision .22 yesterday (was able to fit a 6x scope on it until I can fit the 14x scope to it), trying a variety of ammo and ammo lot numbers. Now keep in mind the Precision was using a 6x scope and the above for sale Target model was using a 14x scope...The Target model shot smaller groups than the Precision model...about 1/4" smaller overall at 25yd. Hoping the Precision groups shrink with the higher magnification parallax adjustable scope I had used on the Target model. Or maybe the Target bore is more broken in. Or both. Just like the Target model, the Precision model liked Eley Target the best, followed by the inexpensive Aguila standard velocity, followed by Gemtech subsonic. Wolf Match Target that the Target model also liked was only so-so in the Precision. Once I found ammo that the Precision liked, I was happy with its performance.

Oh, tracking says my extra high scope rings will be here today. I'll throw in the Weaver Grand Slam steel high rings with the Target model if the buyer wants them.

    1. I have a 22LR headspace gauge if you want to borrow it.
    2. With the 25 or 50yd benchrest type of gun . . . using a scope that you cannot set the parallax to the exact range of your target is a group killer.
    3. What gun will be your tree rat killer from now on ?? ---- SAWMAN

The Precision is rather heavy for Limb Chicken hunting...I'll still use my Browning T-Bolt or CZ 452 for that.
