I have always wanted a sig 229. The price put me off but now I am in a position to be able to buy one. Anyone have experience with these. Just wanting some insiders opinions before I drop the coin.

I used to have one a few years ago. Sold it along with many of my other pistols, including some SIGs. I hope to get a 229 again. Nice shooting pistol.

I have a P226 MK 25...a little larger than 229, and it is among my favorite pistols I have ever owned...cant say enough good things about it, and the brand in general, other than they are a bit pricey but I doubt you would ever be disappointed with its function

I have two 229 in 40 cal. One is a DAK and one is the standard DA/SA. Both are great. As for the legion, I am not sure it is worth the extra money. But then the standard version fits me well so I don't feel the need for the extras. Let us know what you get.

Standard version doesn’t come with a challenge coin.

Not sure if I need too highlight that in red to show sarcasm or not,

My brother-in-law has a 226 Legion and it is a cosmetic thing...maybe night sights? Cant remember for sure, but it shot, functioned and felt like mine...I paid for the anchor on the mk25 so just get what you want...aesthetics are not the most important thing to to me, but....I do want to feel good about the function and aesthetics
