I was scouring the marshes after Katrina salvaging lumber that washed up from destroyed beach houses. I started carrying a 410 pistol and machete after seeing that.

That was in the Everglades. Has anyone seen one or heard of one on the northern Gulf Coast?

Pythons don't hibernate and I don't think they can tolerate our winters...I have not heard of any seen or captured in the panhandle LowRider.

There was an 8-10' one reported in our neighborhood a while back when I was in Little Rock. I don't think they ever found it, most likely a pet somebody let go. Neighbors had an Iguana up in their tree several years back. Our neighborhood has several wetland areas around it so who knows what could be lurking in there.
