I've been trying to post pics in pm offers. What's a url? Is there a simple way to do it?

Url is a web address. I have never been able to figure out how to attach pictures in a pm. I end up sending pictures with my phone through text.

Never tryed posting a pic in a PM but from what I'm reading here sounds like the picture must be online somewhere else already then you just supply the url (web address where pic is located) to have it show up to the recipient. Just a guess and may be wrong but makes sense...

Tried it. The options for adding photos/videos/etc are limited via PM, versus what you can do via thread post. For example, I can add a photo directly from the photos on my phone, if posted in a thread. But if I wanted to send via PM, I'd need a URL address, meaning it must be hosted or something? Like via Photobucket or whatever the next app is...

As Jester recommended, check out imgur.com It's probably one of the easiest sites to host an image on. Go there and in top left corner it will say new post. Click that then upload the image. Once it's uploaded there will be a URL with the word copy to the right. Click copy and you can then paste that URL into the PM where it's asking for one.

Can the options for PM's not be changed to allow you to grab a picture from the device you're sending the PM from? Sure would make it a lot easier and the same as adding photos to a thread.

Dean, You can post directly from your computer.

Scroll down until you see "GO ADVANCED" and hit it.

Scroll down again to "ATTACHMENTS" and pick your picture.
