Excellent condition Remington 742 Woodsmaster in .30-06 with iron sights and an older water proof Japanese Tasco 3-9x32, and one 4rd detachable magazine. Manufacture date of around 63'. The original owner said he had only sighted it in and took it to the woods twice, cleaned it and put it in his safe so the round count is very low especially for its 55 years of service. I am the second owner and have only fired four rounds and cleaned it. Besides a few scuffs on the stock from safe storage, it's in excellent condition.
    (Withdrawn, keeping it)

(SOLD)Beautiful Remington Fieldmaster 572 with a Tasco 4x32. It takes 22 S, L, and LR. It has a 15rd mag tube. This one was also a one owner gun but shows a bit more wear from use on the outside than the 742 but the internals look great. Standard wear on the slide arm and a few scratches on the receiver. The wood looks great. Unknown round count but the bore and rifling look great as well. I put 15rds through it and cleaned it. It's an accurate .22 for sure. $400 cash or $450 trade.(SOLD)

Never jammed on me, I have also only ran 4rds through it and the original owner who I got it from had only sighted it in and took it out hunting twice. He takes excellent care of his firearms and his collection shows it. The 742 does have a bad rap or history, mainly when it's been used, abused, and not maintained properly. When you take meticulous care of it and clean it properly, particularly the bore and locking surface, they run like sewing machines, like this one.
