A coworker offered me a wood buttstock that came off his AK so I can replace the plastic side folder that is on my WASR. I know not all AK parts are interchangeable. Is that the case for stocks? I forgot to ask him exactly what kind of AK he has.

There's slant and straight cut receivers, but I honestly couldn't tell you more than that. Pm "Red" . He's our local commie.

I believe the Romanians push button style side folding rear trunion is the only side folding rear trunion that will take a wooden stock without a bunch of work. So question is what rear trunion do you have?

And if the wooden stock he gave you is yugo it will not fit.
