Hk 45

I just bought this hk 45 today is anyone familiar with it ,like does the serial number indicate on which number it is created because I have 000455 I can't really find anything about it ,also what are people's thoughts on this firearm I plan on taking it to the range tomorrow

H&K make many firearms in the caliber of 45ACP. I don't see any pictures or other info in your post to narrow down what exactly you have.

Standard variant 1 HK45;great guns. AI prefix would indicate 2008.

Would 000455 mean it was the 455th one made

I have owned a couple and HK pistols have been very good in terms of reliability, accuracy and general shootability imo. The only knock I've had is they are relatively expensive compared to other polymer pistols and they lack(ed) in magazine capacity, if that is important to you, compared to others. The newer VP 9 is among my favorites and has one of the very best stock triggers of any striker fired pistol I have sampled...the Walther PPQ might edge it out. Some don't like the mag release but for my purposes, that is inconsequential...compared to say a reverse flipping safety like that found on a Beretta or Ruger SR-22
