    Well I just picked this colt 1911 up for a song looked it over all numbers seem to match looks to be in good shape the serial nber dates it 1918 us navy just seeing if I got a good piece or not and what value may be

    Dates to 1918 U.S. Navy but no government property markings? I don't have any expertise on the subj but thought gov markings, acceptance stamps were pretty standard. It looks to be in great gondition for its age. Care to tell the cost? I ask because the CMP 1911 in shooters grade (functional/ugly) are forecast to start at $1K.

    J.m gilbert inspection markings the coating is parkerized which is common they also did a blue version

    Put somm Ball ammo through it and let us know how it goes.

    Still haven't had a chance to go shoot it had a lil mishap with my eye getting cut plan to go shoot here soon though
