Here are some of the changes. Now we will feel the wrath of the liberal East coast of Florida. It is as close to New York as anywhere I have been in the country. Line 33-40 are interesting. What do we do?

10 (a) Balancing a respect for, and under no circumstances
11 violating, the Second Amendment to the United States
12 Constitution and as interpreted by the United States Supreme
13 Court, with an equal respect for the lives of all citizens of
14 Florida, it is the policy of the State of Florida that the right
15 of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and
16 of the lawful authority of the state shall not be infringed,
17 except that the manner of bearing arms may be regulated by law.
    18 (b) A purchaser of a firearm must be at least twenty-one
19 years of age. The prohibitions of this subsection do not apply
20 to the purchase of a rifle or shotgun by a law enforcement
21 officer, a correctional officer, or a servicemember.
22 (c) There shall be a mandatory waiting period of three
23 days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, between the
24 purchase and delivery at retail of any firearm handgun. A
25 comprehensive background check as prescribed by Florida law
26 shall occur during this period. The mandatory waiting period
27 shall be ten days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, which
28 expires upon the completion of the comprehensive background
    29 check, whichever occurs later.
30 (d) No person shall import into this state or transfer,
31 distribute, sell, keep for sale, offer for sale, possess, or
32 give to another person a bump-fire stock.
33 (e) No person, except for military or law enforcement use,
34 shall import into this state or transfer, distribute, sell,
35 keep, possess, or give to another person an assault weapon, as

37 (f) No person, except for military or law enforcement use,
38 shall manufacture, sell, offer for sale, purchase, receive, or

40 nine rounds of ammunition for a firearm.
41 (g) For the purposes of this section, the term “purchase”
42 means the transfer of money or other valuable consideration to
43 the seller retailer, the term "bump-fire stock" means a
44 conversion kit, a tool, an accessory, or a device used to alter
45 the rate of a firearm to mimic automatic weapon fire or which is
46 used to increase the rate of fire to a faster rate than is
47 possible for a person to fire a semiautomatic firearm unassisted
48 by a kit, a tool, an accessory, or a device, and the term
49 "detachable magazine" means an ammunition-feeding device that
50 can be removed readily from a firearm without requiring
51 disassembly of the firearm action or without the use of a tool,
52 including a bullet or cartridge. “handgun” means a firearm
53 capable of being carried and used by one hand, such as a pistol
54 or revolver. Holders of a concealed weapon permit as prescribed
55 in Florida law shall not be subject to the provisions of this
    56 paragraph.
57 (h) (c) The legislature shall enact legislation
    58 implementing subsections subsection (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f)
59 of this section, effective no later than December 31, 2019 1991,
60 which shall provide that anyone violating the provisions of

    62 of a felony.
63 (d) This restriction shall not apply to a trade in of

If any of this shit passes I'm taking my guns and two businesses with me to another state. I moved here for Florida's gun laws and I will leave when it changes. Florida is a very divided state. Just go visit South and east Florida.

Colorado used to be a gun friendly state. Look at it now. Nice to think it will never happen but when it does then what? It'll probably be a bump stock/ anything that makes a gun fire faster or easier, magazine capacity restriction, then a rifle with a pistol grip, then hollow point ammo, so on and so on... That bump stock law doesnt stop at bump stocks, read it. Look back in history and research how it happened in other states. The demographics of our beautiful state are changing also.

Right you are. I'll paraphrase what has been said by pro-gun people throughout the country for years now: This is not about common sense or safety. This is about systematic disarmament to increase government control.

Oh, and FWIW, the "quotes" above are not the words of anti-gun politicians. They were made on gun forums.....

I was born and raised in one of the most anti gun sh!t holes in the country. New Jersey. As soon as I could get out I did and never went back. People that never new about their RIGHT to bear arms are scared of guns and people that own them. They actually believe that we are crazy. You can't even own a knife that has an assist to help open it. I'd hate to see any regulations on anything here. The government is involved in EVERYTHING we do as it is. Try this.... Let's see how long it takes for the members on here to come up with 10 things you do in every day life that does not involve the government.

you are right about NJ, if the Good Lord were to give an enema to this country, the nozzle would be in jersey cy, or Hoboken....

I have heard that due to the thousands of laws on the books, the average person breaks 2-6 per day, with probably 2-3 felonies a week too...

smart move from NJ, welcome home

Grew up in PA, not a whole lot different when it came to certain weapons, but at least there were areas where you could hunt, fish, and shoot without getting busted. I used to walk right down a residential street with gun in hand to hunt the woods at the end. The way things are going here, we'll be having to call for permission to take a gun out of the house.....

I Pray. (Try that in a public school)
I kiss my Wife. (I'm assuming you are a man, but I'm sure the LGBT what the f#ck ever community has something to say about that if they were near)
I PT. (Every last piece of gym equipment is full of "danger/ warning stickers)
I run to the beach, may jump in. (Hopefully you do that on a public beach and don't hurt the turtles, nesting birds or sunburnt tourists)
I enjoy the salt air while observing the geo/bio scenery. (Got me on that one) +1
I talk with strangers and Locals. (Watch what you say and how you say it, don't want to offend anyone) +2
Sometimes I kayak or snorkel the Bay or the beach. (Kayaks are super dangerous, they scare fish, I have seen 1000's of fish get run over and am protesting them and letting our congressman know)
    (Snorkel) +3
I maintain my gear. (Every piece of you gear had some kind of government regulation/ standard)
I work in my yard. (You have to maintain your yard otherwise the code enforcer will step in...... you have no choice even if you own it outright)
I take a nap. (Just make sure "they" aren't watching you thru the cameras they hide in your house) +4
Work on the Wife's Honey do List. (She tells you what to do and probably uses subliminal messages.... she's with the "them")
Set a fire in the burn pit, might cook or Dutch oven. (Got fined for burning in a dry season, eating food cooked over fire is dangerous... carcinogens)
Actually talk with the Mrs. (You have no choice, she uses mind control while you're taking a nap. That's why they let you take naps.)
Watch the sunset then the stars. (They are not stars it's satellites and space trash)
    I final check Security. +5
I Pray, then I sleep. (Prayer is frowned upon unless you are atheist or muslim, keep one open while you sleep and you'll see what I mean.)

Same here. I grew up in north west PA and like others have stated, would pack our shotguns in my buddies car, leave it in the school parking lot and go duck hunting right after school. Sometimes load up our 22 rifles and handguns in his car and go shoot rats down at the city dump. In fact, I bought my first 22 pistol from another student right in the parking lot. Funny thing back then, we never heard of school shootings. Yep, there were fights and maybe a little bullying but as far as I knew, no one ever threatened another student with a firearm. Of course, this all happened in the late 50s and early 60s. BTW, back then as I recall, there was no difference between Republicans and Democrats when it came to gun ownership. That still may be the case in most of PA, with the exception of Philly and Pittsburgh.
