Considering a Colt Cobra for home and carry. Pricey but should be high quality. Opinions?

I carried an old model Cobra for a long time, then a S&W 36. If I was buying new, I believe I would pick a S&W or Ruger light weight model. I love collecting Colt pistols, but some of the threads I have been reading on the Colt forum, regarding the new Cobra, leave me doubting if they are a wise purchase.

I have a 1974 vintage Cobra that is a great shooter and easy to carry. I have never shot one of the newer Cobras but I would be willing to bet the rent they are easier to shoot well than the 5 shot j frames like the 442 & 642 plus the Colt is a 6 shot! Good luck!
