The DR just called the desk nurse and got her to stop the treatment, the way he explained it to my wife is that he found that Zachary has low Immaglobin A and that could cause an allergic reaction to the
    "Immaglobbin A" in the medicine.
They are prescribing us an epi pen to keep in case he has a reaction later.
They want to watch him for a couple of more hours in case he has a reaction.

    ETA-maybe it’s spelled immunoglobulin

    Thank you all,
He’s doing fine now but the way it was explained to me is that the transfusion will cause his blood to seem normal for the next couple of weeks. Week 3-6 are when they would see whether it’s a one time treatment just to give a boost or if he’ll need another transfusion and treatment. He couldn’t stop throwing up Thursday night causing him to get dehydrated that required a visit to the ER Friday but since that he’s been doing ok. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Update- He had his blood tested on 3/21 and it came back good at 357, they said that we could skip week two of testing and return for week three. He went in today and it came back at 132, they said that’s lower than they like(normal) and they wanted to go ahead and test again next week instead of every other week.
    Please keep those prayers coming.
