WOW, went to Baker today and got the U-Pic strawberries right out of the field, they have some they picked already too. They are delicious, I recommend them 100%

just goto the end of the side rd that Akers is on, turn lft and there they are Bakers I believe, maybe a block between them. The already picked are at their veggie stand in town. Said w the rain they would not be open again till Thur or Fri.

Brooks Farm will have u-pick along with yogurt and strawberry shortcake. It’s located at 5760 Griffith Mill Road Baker Fl. Just around the corner from Akers of strawberries. Just go past Akers and turn left go about one block, Brooks Farm is on the right

    That’s terrible!
My understanding is that Senator Evers was a patriot. Sad loss.
    My kids loved Akers.

Yep Greg Evers was a great man. Loved going with my kids to pick at his place. He would joke and always bring a smile to everyone that came through there to pick strawberries at his place!

I guess the family just didn't want to keep the place going or something. Not my place to judge or wonder why either I guess. But I will definitely miss the place and him for sure!

Too bad, I am sure they will get Akers going next year, equipment out there now in fact. Sorry for his loss

I am telling you I have been a pig tonite, even now, theses are just the best strawberries. The said it even surprised them they were ready so early, very nice size, sweet and super nice people, I am sure I will be going back Friday because we only got 1/2 a flat today.

So to clarify, there is “Bakers” and “Brooks” near Akers.
Bakers is ready, but Brooks is not.
    Correct?

Coming into Baker from the south there is a vegetable stand on the right side of the road. The owner is Kathy Brooks Cooper, she is a sister to the Brooks who have the strawberry patch just past Akers on Griffith Mill Rd.
Akers is tied up in probate I believe and hopefully Greg’s estate will be settled soon
