Here's a Florida government source for how to contact your senator, or all of them:

    http://www.flsenate.gov/PublishedContent/ADMINISTRATIVEPUBLICATIONS/sdir.pdf

    EDIT to add:

I went ahead and consolidated each one of their emails in my post below, so it's easy for you to just copy-paste them all at once to your "To:" block, without having to edit.

We know what this means, you all should to.

if any of you vote for control or ban measures, we will vote against you...

enforce the laws on the books now, fire broward co sheriff, and restore conservative values to our government, or find other jobs..

Read receipts can be turned off by the receiver so you wouldn't know if they read it or not. Receiving them months later shows that some just don't check their emails. All we can do is keep flooding them and hope to get their attention. Phone calls work well also.

Looks like the vote is done. All Democrats voted in favor plus two Republicans but it still failed.

    Here are the two republicans:

Senators voted 21-17 to defeat amendments to add the ban and moratorium to the bill. Two Republican Senators, René García and Anitere Flores, crossed party lines on the vote. Both are from blue Miami-Dade County

    It is not over.

The vote on the bill is Monday, today. The votes over the weekend were on amendments banning certain weapons.

No one under 21 will be able to purchase a firearm, if it passes. Please correct me if I am wrong.

This will infringe on the 2nd Amendment rights of our children and grandchildren.

CORRECT. The vote is again today, at the House. It ISN'T Over.

The Senate screwed up and caved.
This weekend, the stuff that didn't pass was all-out gun bans and other completely UN-Constitutional attempts. But they are red-herrings to make it look like we won something. We didn't.

In fact, for a moment on Saturday, they ACTUALLY PASSED some of these measures via a Voice Vote (yelling Yay/Nay), but they took an actual vote, and that's where the two Republicans crossed party lines. Luckily, those amendments failed.

The raised age to 21: Passed.
The gestapo LEO "Risk Protection Order" that allows them to literally SEIZE YOUR GUNS and Ammo: Passed.
The "bump stock ban" that isn't just bumps stocks because they gave the term "bump-fire stock" such a BROAD definition that it actually makes it a Blank Check for almost ANY trigger mods, etc: PASSED.

The time is NOW to call/email the reps.

Here's a link to the Florida State House of Representatives directory:

I made a list of their emails, like I did with the senators. I'll post it next, for easy cut-n-paste.

Had to send an email in batches, because that list was too long for the servers or something. Got a few "Unable to send" errors from about 5 email addresses, and a few automatic responses.

If they pass this bill, we're on our way to Commiefornian laws.

"BREAKING NEWS: Seventy-Two Killed Resisting Gun Confiscation In Maryland.

National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons were ambushed by elements of a Para-military extremist faction. Military and law enforcement sources estimate that 72 were killed and more than 200 injured before government forces were compelled to withdraw.

Speaking after the clash, Massachusetts Governor Thomas Gage declared that the extremist faction, which was made up of local citizens, has links to the radical right-wing tax protest movement.

Gage blamed the extremists for recent incidents of vandalism directed against internal revenue offices. The governor, who described the group’s organizers as “criminals,” issued an executive order authorizing the summary arrest of any individual who has interfered with the government’s efforts to secure law and order.

The military raid on the extremist arsenal followed wide-spread refusal by the local citizenry to turn over recently outlawed assault weapons.

Gage issued a ban on military-style assault weapons and ammunition earlier in the week. This decision followed a meeting in early this month between government and military leaders at which the governor authorized the forcible confiscation of illegal arms.

One government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, pointed out that “none of these people would have been killed had the extremists obeyed the law and turned over their weapons voluntarily.”

Government troops initially succeeded in confiscating a large supply of outlawed weapons and ammunition. However, troops attempting to seize arms and ammunition in Lexington met with resistance from heavily-armed extremists who had been tipped off regarding the government’s plans.

During a tense standoff in the Lexington town park, National Guard Colonel Francis Smith, commander of the government operation, ordered the armed group to surrender and return to their homes. The impasse was broken by a single shot, which was reportedly fired by one of the right-wing extremists.

Eight civilians were killed in the ensuing exchange.

Ironically, the local citizenry blamed government forces rather than the extremists for the civilian deaths. Before order could be restored, armed citizens from surrounding areas had descended upon the guard units. Colonel Smith, finding his forces over matched by the armed mob, ordered a retreat.

Governor Gage has called upon citizens to support the state/national joint task force in its effort to restore law and order. The governor also demanded the surrender of those responsible for planning and leading the attack against the government troops.

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

And this fellow Americans, is how the American Revolution began, April 19, 1775.

History. Study it, or repeat it."

The senate passed garbage today!!!!! I truly hope the House does not take up any form of this mess to send to the Gov for signature! He'll sign it for sure!

I used to be proud of FL and our gun laws even though they are far from perfect. But this knee jerk reaction is simply over the top.

Here is what the State Senate voted and passed today!

Broxson - Escambia, Santa Rosa, and part of Okaloosa counties. On the one hand he voted against banning "assault rifles" and standard capacity magazines; on the other hand he voted for the final bill.
