Has the bumper pad been replaced on it to offset the recoil from cracking or breaking the stock?

Marlin had a recall on them a way while back for this problem?

I do appreciate the info but I'm just wanting to sell. I've never fired the gun and don't plan to.

It’s no big deal that the buffer hasn’t been replaced. Any damage (cracked stock) will be readily apparent by taking the receiver off the stock.
Just buy a Black Jack and replace it.
I bought a Camp 9 at an estate auction years ago.
First thing I did was look at the buffer. It was toast but I caught it just in time. No damage.
It’s also recommended to replace the spring. I used to be up on all this stuff but can’t remember for sure. Seems like maybe an 11 lb for the 9 and 16 lb for the .45?
Easy to do. Lots of info on the internet.
