Not the right time to be funny so I'm self editing.

I've seen a few alleged AWs but never seen or heard of one acting out on its own. Unless something has changed, the U.S.Military doesn't have Small Arms by that name either. Federal Government (all) don't even have a existing definition for it.

    You Guys!
It was going to be an attempt at humor. I thought it may have been on poor taste, so I deleted it myself.
As best i can tell, all weapons are assault weapons if used in an assault.
Just because a rifle looks like an AR doesnt make it an assault rifle or a weapon of war as far as I know.
I am a left handed shooter. I wanted to get a very nice rifle in .308 for hunting, but didn't find what I wanted as left handed rifles are not as numerous as right handed rifles. I rarely see a left handed bolt rifle advertised on this forum and the available manufactures that have left handed bolts were not something I wanted.
So I bought an AR 10, added an ambi safety, put a nice trigger in it, great scope and rugged mount, and I'm satisfied. I do not consider it much different than any other semi-auto rifle. Although magazine capacity options are greater. I still consider it my hunting rifle. its not an assult rifle, unless you are a deer. then maybe I'll concede the point.
