Having a hard time finding a recipe. Recently acquired 500 61GN orange tips and dont know what to do with them. I have a ton of varget, tac, and H335 on hand. General consensus I've found is around 23.5GN max of the H335 with a cci41 primer. I'd like to get them to light each time if possible and read about some failures to light with lower powder weights. Also wondering if a cci450 magnum primer would hurt anything. Anyone got some tried and true recipes they can throw at me? Also a COA. 2.260 is what I've found on most books and sights. Thanks for any input.

Close enough weight to go with 62gr load data.
No telling about OAL. Try finding a factory tracer with same projectile and match.

Load a few according to data and give them a try before committing.
You do realize that tracers aren’t gonna be tack drivers way out there because of what they are.(losing more grains in flight from burning the tracer compound)

They are fun, but not allowed on gun range I shoot at.

Thanks. Fully aware of their ballistics and dangers. Got a friend that owns a lake, gonna try them out there. I've loaded 6 different lots with different powders and primers. My only concern was COAL and over pressure from seating the projectile.

I have read that that barrels should be well cleaned afterwards when using tracers.

Yeah I'm sure the phosphorous or magnesium isn't too good for the inner workings of my AR. Now if I could just hurry up and recover from this shoulder surgery so I can go test these loads out.
