    Arrived in the mail yesterday.
Parkarize is might thick but plugs into the SP-1 ok.
Floorplate has shallow stamping of Nodak Spud and Brownells felt compelled to add their stamp.

I know its not close to being correct for my AR, but to me its kinda cool to add some bling to the old Colt.

Thanks for the old AR-15 knowledge fellas!

Understand the "kinda, almost" retro thing. I have been finding stuff for retro builds that way also. Even some of the smaller parts are "almost" identical to the origional.
Re. the coating on that mag - -> Take a Scotch Brite pad, spray the mag down with a liberal amount of WD-40,give it a good scrubbing. It will give it that retro look. After it is the color you want it,wipe it with alcohol, then a very light wipe with some Break Free CLP.
I acquired an older 20rd mag that was new in package. It was one with the aluminum follower. I did it like the above and it came out great.
Waffel mags - - - > got a buddy with 20 of the old origionals. He WILL NOT part with them. They are selling for >$100 each IF you can find them. ---- SAWMAN

Seems like I remember that back in the day, these mags would not properly fit a "Colt" marked lower. (Could definitely be wrong.)
Anyway . . . we were told NOT to use them. However,as stated, the Sea Bee's did. Most likely others did also . . . depending on the gun used. --- SAWMAN

I'd bet it was the waffle design, it would tend to trap sand and mud a little more??

Douche the internals of that mag down with spray silicone.
I spray tons of it in my mags then blow them out with high pressure air. ---- SAWMAN

Would go good with my Nodak Spud M16 / AR15 Clone or what ever you want to call it.
