Anyone have a good licensed and insured electrician to recommend? I need one to look at a 220V issue. Old dryer died, no biggie. Bought new one and brought home. Went to install it today and after taking the cord off the old one, I noticed some charring on the plug. Looking at the receptacle, after I downed the breaker and took the cover off, and it is charred badly with one hot wire melted in two places that I can see. Rather have an electrician check it over and recommend if wiring is right size, and if it is safe to use after cutting off the ends assuming there is enough slack. With 26 year old wiring...I would rather make sure all is safe!
