Ok my grandson has been shooting his cva youth hunter in 243 (single shot) for about 3 seasons he’s gonna be 10 next month anyone got any ideas on a multi shot say a bolt action youth rifle I can move him up to. Been looking around all I seem to find in a short youth gun are single shot would like to keep him in his 243 caliber.

Look harder. Especially the Ruger American Compact. (Other rifle makers produce a bolt gun with a 12.5" LOP also.)
Great guns . . accurate. . not much money . . good selection of chamberings. --- SAWMAN

The old time remedy is a rifle with wood furniture cut to length.
Otherwise, see post by SAWMAN. He still uses one.

Wally World regularly runs youth model 700 ADLs in .243 for $379...that is cheaper than a complete action from Brownell's

Personally,I love the 12.5" LOP guns. I currently own three of them not including the AR's. I have a RARR chambered in 300BLK which IMO would be a great youth gun. Also the AAC version of the NEF Handi Rifle in the same chambering. To me,for youth, the NEF would be about perfect. They are extremely short and light.
Both of these guns shoot <.500" @ 50yds. --- SAWMAN

My 10yo can shoot my adult size .308. as far as youth rifles go the Rem Model 7 and Ruger compacts are hard to beat. Both my boys have shot a .300blk Ruger American compact the last few years. They are 8&10yo.

You might check "Ladies" rifles. Many are made for smaller stature bodies. Some may be pink but standard colors dominate. I linked an example, but don't know that particular rifle. Some may be engraved "Ladies" or just box markings, that may or may not matter to you/him. You will have to go to Mfgs site to get actual specifications. Good luck.

Come over with your son. He can try my guns for the proper fit.
I know that ruger sells their youth stocks for around $90. The NEF Handi Rifles have both youth and adult sized stocks for sale also. I actually have a full length stock that I bought. I tried it and didn't like it. IIRC it made the LOP almost 14 inches. --- SAWMAN

Funny, my LOP is close to 15".

As said, lots of youth model bolt guns and "lady" guns will fit the bill
