    Taken at an angle to better show the markings look more like roll marks with a little dirt/grunge in the markings from age and use. The serial number especially looks roll marked due to it being shallower towards the bottom. The maker of the 80% will be using this pic in his advertising when he makes more.

    Run that serno thru the data banks and you should be able to trace the guns history.
    Guessing - - - > traded to the old E-6 Navy cook that was in charge of the mess hall on "Rock Jaw" anchored in the Dong Ha river,for two 5lb cans of GI coffee.
