So I got this gun with a trade and I honestly know nothing about these. Pros, cons, anything I should be aware of functionality wise? It came with this crimson Trace laser/ flashlight on it.

I had one of the first gen (recalled) 3.3 barrel length. Never had any issues with prior to and after having the recalled maintenance done. I probably shot around 1k rds thru it of various ammo types and it performed well. It was "accurate enough" for a subcompact ccw which, at the time, was my ability. For someone wanting to carry a 45 in a slim frame it's a great option in my opinion. My only complaint was the recoil, it's definitely not a range toy for smooth, enjoyable shooting. For me anyway...
