OK, I purchased my daughter a TC Compass! Boyds Stocks make quite a few decent looking stocks and my sole purpose is to purchase one to cut it down for my daughter's use since they don't make a youth stock for it.

Any reservations about doing this? Anything I should know about that not out there on youtube about doing this?

I want to get another stock to cut and keep the original for when she's older. She's 12 now and has been shooting my .308 AR platform great!

But it's a little heavy for her to handle on her own without me helping her get it around and on a good rest etc...

And I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the TC compass. Even after I buy the extra stock to cut down, I am below the cost of most youth guns out there!

Cutting the plastic stocks usually do not leave you a way to remount the recoil pad. --- SAWMAN
