Was at Harbor Freight this AM and noticed that they had some storage boxes(dry boxes) that looked like the Pelican brand, but for about 1/2 - 1/3 the price. Several differend sizes.
These boxes were about 8X14X10 inches and a couple bigger and a couple smaller. They had multiple layers of foam stacked inside them. Dry box for ammo also.
My first thought was for the competative shooters to carry their higher end guns in. Great looking boxes for the money. Sturdy handles and latches. --- SAWMAN

I have used the aluminum ones with the foam to keep my RC Transmitters safe in. They work great for general light use like that. Now if your going to be flying with it or packing it through the rough country for weeks at a time I would go for a higher end one. But for general use around the range loading and unloading in the truck they are great at protecting your stuff.

There is a coupon out there for the Apache 3800 (next larger model) for $29.99. Nice and sturdy. It has the pluck foam and it sure made separating equipment easy.
