Posting here since it is still an NFA item, but wondered if any have seen the Black Aces Tactical Po Boy Suppressors or shot/or seen one shot?

At these prices I may need a new can even before any change in NFA regulations:

TGD Firearms does have the 5.56 cans in stock.

Only thing about them, you get what you pay for... they are heavy. Like, really heavy. Obviously no fancy do-dads like quick detach mounts or removable baffles.

But it is a can for $199....

wow that is a bit heavy, the QD mount does add weight to some so I prefer the direct thread on can, just can't beat the price and that is closer to what we will see should the ever get off the NFA list and what they really cost. If you shoot off the bench or a shooting house hard to go wrong with this can.

I think you are right Frank. The .30 can I got weighs 16 oz and cost four times as much. Then you would have to add the weight of the brake (MD) and cover....and I believe you would be just under the same weight, maybe....that cover is a heavy sucker!

Been wanting to stop by TGD, so will go tomorrow after work if not today!

I agree if you are gonna carry that thing around you got the wrong can. If you sit in a stand for all your hunting or just shoot on the range you will be OK and save a ton of $$

Definitely. When I bought my first one... I figured if I have to pay the crown $200, I might as well buy a quality can. Iffin they ever get rid of the tax stamp, I'd buy a few of the po boys... until then, it's gonna be "buy once, cry once"...

I stopped by TGD to handle one, and snag a Holosun red dot for a project rifle. It is heavier than my Elite Iron Battle Dog, 25 vs 16 ounces, but like Frank I think I prefer a direct screw on can. If I buy one, I will know I am getting a heavier can; but at a quarter of the price I will never shed a tear. ;)

Since it is the end of the year and this thread started at the beginning of the year, I thought I would bring it back up. But the question is, has anyone actually bought one of these? I want to get a suppressor for my 300 blk and I am cheap as all-get-out, I know I get what I pay for, but this will be my first one and don't want to shell out $800+ on something that I will just use every once in a while. I just want to dip my little toe into the suppressor pool...not cannon ball in.

I'd have to be present. Unless you want to setup a trust together

There's a couple of the blackhawk gas cans on gun broker for just over $500 shipped. My understanding is it's a rebodied Omega which is a strong performer. It's a solid offering that will cover a lot of bases.
