A day late and a dollar short IMO. Ruger has sold a ton of of their RPRs and are now on the GenII. I love and have used Remington firearms for hunting 20+ years now, and probably would have bought one of these, but Ruger already got my money a year ago with the RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor. Thanks for posting the link.

I haven't put a ton of research into these type of guns because for several reasons I have not become a serious buyer.
But so far, after shooting the Ruger in 6.5 snd 308,I like what I saw. The drawback for me is the chamberings, twist rates, and bbl lengths. The chambering thing is simply personal preferance . . . I understand that. But to me these guns would have longer range applications. For that,I want/I need velocity and heavy/long bullet stability.
For instance - -> I like the 308Win chambering. But would like to see a 24" bbl and a 1:9 twist. I would also like to see an offering in 7mm-08 with a 24" bbl and a 1:8 twist.
If you got this big beast of a gun, chances are it is a range gun,or a close walk to a shooting house gun. The extra length of a long bbl and the added weight of a high powered 30mm scope is incidental.
One of these chambered in 224Valkyrie with a 1:6 twist would be interesting also. Maybe even a 6.5-300Wby Mag.
Will be keeping my eye on the evolution of these guns. A gun with a bbl change might do me right. ---- SAWMAN

The price tag of $1000 grabs my attention. 6 years ago I caught the Long range bug. I wish they would have had these options then.
