Are there still problems with these mags?

I’ve only seen black Ruger factory mags.
Are you talking about the Butler Creek mags?
They aren’t bad for the money.

I haven't seen any problems. I have them and many of the Appleseed participants and trainers use them.

What sort of issues have you heard?

Some replies cite very tight fits, need to be filed down. Maybe Ruger has fixed this, thx 4 your reply.

Now that you mention it, that did seem to be an issue with the first ones I saw. You may be right, it might have gotten fixed.

Another popular way to solve mag drop problems is two join two mags together with an adapter plate:

If they don't drop just from the additional weight, you have enough of a handle to assist in removal.

    Hope that helps...

Are y’all talking about low cap mags?
I’ve just never seen any of the Ruger brand hi cap mags in clear.

On my older 10/22 at first it would not work with any extended mags. I loosened the the barrel and slide it over into proper alignment and all was good. This was years ago. I have not fired that ruger in years, but it worked with butler and other stick magazines after that. Would not work with a funky oblong drum mag that I bought.

Ruger also makes the 25-rounds BX mags in clear, too. It's only one half, though. If memory serves, the left side panel, as you're shooting, is clear.

I have oem clear 10rd mags. Tactical solutions used to sell bases for them that are spring loaded and pressed against the magwell when inserted. I have two and love them. Wish i had bought more. May be able to still find them on eBay or somewhere.
