Had a great time today. Even beat my personal best by almost 18 seconds!

Thanks to all who helped put the match together!

How many stages involved, and are they taken from original Steel Challenge? Long ago, when I could actually shoot, I attended the 1984 and 1985 Steel Challenge Match in California. Believe it or not, in 85 was the first time I had seen a "type" of red dot sight used, John Shaw had an Aimpoint stuck atop a 1911, and man was it a bulky affair.....word around the match was no one could shoot something like that as fast as open sights, times do change ehh?
Interested to see some photos of the match posted and stages.

Four stages. I believe there are some stages that are standard (Smoke N Hope), but there is usually a plate rack stage that I don't think is an official one. Still a boatload of fun. I've noticed a lot more rimfire entries in the last few matches. And those guys are at the top of the leaderboard every month. I switched from my CZ 9mm to a S&W Victory w/ a Vortex Venom red dot last month and have knocked over 35 seconds off my time.

Do rimfires compete on equal footing with the centerfire pistols and revolvers? Never heard of that, unless they are in a separate class. This competition is drawing from the holster correct? Post a few photos if you have any, would like to see their version of the match and what they are using.

Thanks Eddie, look like you follow the original rules from official handbook. I'm very familiar with it, went to the real deal Steel Challenge in 1984 and 1985 in California, got to shoot with he big boys at the time. Mickey Fowler, John Shaw, Mike Plaxco...they were the big guns back then.
Looks like you guys run a good match!
