Just recieved my new Savage 338 lapua mag and no place to shoot over 200 yrds. Does anyone know of a place to shoot out to 1500 yrds and beyond?

Our unofficial target for 1000yds was a 30" white "dot" on a piece of refrigerator box cardboard.
    Back then I was shooting a Weatherby MK V Accumark chambered in 30-378Wby Mag,slinging a 220gr SMK at >3200fps.
Remember also, along with the longer distances, you gotta be able to readily check your target. --- SAWMAN
ADDED ---> Got some powder listed for sale if your gonna reload that Lapua.

Gonna have to reload Lapua. To expensive out of the box. I usually shoot at a 36 inch steel plate with black dot at that range. Gettin the Nightforce NSX set up on the Lapua now. I always have a spotter with me (my son) he is x SF and its a compitation between us. Shooting my M1 garand out to 500 with open sights is the real test

No sir . . . I am not. No dies but my shell holder for my 416Rigby will work.
Would like to suggest though, that you buy a set of quality dies for that chambering. Redding,Sinclair,CH4D,etc. Also a micrometer type bullet seater.
Hope you got the Savage 111. --- SAWMAN
