First time making burgers with the sous vide style. Turned out pretty good, but this is the first meat cooked this way that I think needed finishing/searing. Next ones will be!

Looked for a better spot to place this, but this thread seems best place to post it. After a recent 13 day road trip the one food we did not get to eat was Italian, so for lunch today I scratched that itch at Petrella's Italian Cafe on 9 mile road. I had Pasta Rustica, and the wife had Fish Marsala. Both with cream of broccoli soup and garlic bread. Enough left-overs for a nice dinner tonight! I once asked the server what percentage of customers asked for go-boxes, and she said with a smile, "100 percent!" LOL, still true today!

Great place to eat. My wife and I and another couple eat there every other Thurs. if possible.
It is either Chicken Torino or spaghetti with extra sausage for me and a Calzone for my wife.
We ALWAYS take home a to-go box. Simply just too much to eat after you add a good sized salad and some great garlic bread.
Great place. We have been eating there since 2003. ---- SAWMAN

Made bone in center cut pork chops sous vide style with the Anova Nano precision cooker. These were seared/finished in a skillet that then had some cooking juices and butter added to the pan before flour was sprinkled in to start the gravy.

Sauteed onions, garlic and shrooms in a rosemary butter sauce, and pan seared backstrap that was walking around Blackwater 24 hours ago.

Dinner from two nights ago, wife made beef and broccoli stir fry with sirloin. It was fantastic, she usually makes it with roast; never again!

The last of it joined a sous vide cooked sirloin for dinner last night.

No pics, but I was craving Chili Hawaiian style. Rice, fresh chopped onion and tomatoes, topped with chili and shredded cheese. My twist is to add sour cream and chili flavored Fritos corn chips. Stir it all together and it is GREAT!

I've got some pinto beans soaking for the crockpot tomorrow and a big piece of fat from my last boston butt. Now if I can just find my cornbread skillet since the move...

Deckhand caught a mess of mullet so he fried some up at lunch for both crews. He gave me a bag of gizzards so I just had pinto beans, beer battered mullet gizzards, and beer battered mushrooms. I'm stuffed

Oh wow Capt that sounds good. Wife and I used to get lots of mullet when we lived over in Mexico’s beach/psj. Haven’t been back since the storm but you panning to visit friends there over Christmas.

Just what we need, a new ultra-rich dessert going into the big food holidays of the year. Look at lower left corner of package. Yep, RICH!
