    Had a buddy go offshore over the weekend and he dropped me a bag off of the good stuff...

    My mom wanted to get together and boil crawfish. It’s Mother’s Day Weekend, so let’s do this; 46lb of crawfish, 25lb of oysters in the shell, 2lb of conecuh, 10lb bag of potatoes, and 24 ears of corn, here’s what’s left.

    I feel sick I ate so much.
    We also had plenty of wine.
    Good times with family though.

    Tonight’s menu;
    Wild hog sausage, fried green tomatoes and jalapeños from my garden, also a sliced cucumber I grew.

    Wife made the teriyaki/bulgogi marinade for the boneless beef rib meat. Grilled with Florida Gold taters sliced with butter and onions, Asian sweet taters with cinnamon and sugar (for her), and asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

    Commercial teriyaki sauce, with added onions and garlic, would be close enough!

    Been working on my pan seared rosemary garlic pork chops with sweet and sour peppers, onions and basil. Onions, rosemary and basil we grew ourselves. Must be getting better as my wife requests it now. A0F495F3-F527-4693-8BAE-59C7EBA0A3C2.jpg

    Looks great, but I would want some sauce or at least soy on the rice! Love soy sauce.

    Been craving, and I just had to make some!

    Chili.jpg

    Of course, with lots of chili I naturally made the wife's favorite dip.

    You are right about that, but I am sure we all have our good eating times. Lots of times it is low key, quick meals; but when I hit an urge for chili, it has to be fed!

    What chili binge would be complete without some of these for dinner tonight?

    Wife had to feed me healthy food tonight to balance the chili binge. A version of Korean Bibimbop with teriyaki chicken, two kinds of kim chee, and no egg as I had some this morning!

    Best way to have chili to me is like I had it in Hawaii. They would bowl the chili, add a scoop of rice, fresh chopped tomatoes and onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Awesome and my favorite to this day! I sometimes add a dalllop of sour cream if it is really spicy chili, like this batch is.

    Homemade bbq wings. Spiced my flour myself and made my own bbq sauce. Turned out very nice. FCA0E4DE-4C30-4218-B5E6-4E7296B4214D.jpg
