    I wonder if it's fireproofed?

Ok, found a discussion on line of this company. They were in business from 1905-1950. Apparently they were the patent holders for fire proof safes so here's that question answered. SOUNDS like the way they were constructed means not as heavy as we might think. They used thin sheet metal and mostly asbestos so maybe not a lot of heavy brick in them.

    Be safe

Hey guys I started this thread hoping someone would pick up a deal on an old safe. If 2 or 3 guys could help fishingjean move the safe it would make it much safer. I can't because of horrible backinjuries, see picture! Please be safe and you might think of renting a pallet jack for around $12.00 at Homedepot.

jmho, anyone wanting to move this, you would do well to hire a safemover.....I used to be in the moving business....

it will clean up nice, but your back or appendages cannot be so easily taken care of...

I guess with all that internal hardware, we have to stop making fun about how you dance. Glad I don't have that excuse but I need one since Fred Astaire Dance Studio dropped me. Lol
