What is a safe distance for shooting ar500 plates with .45acp and 300 blackout subsonic? This is 3/8 plate.

Are they mounted on a stand to allow them to swing?

I picked up some from another member awhile back so I can't take credit for the design but it works and is easy to maintain.
Using 2x4s to make a cross brace and bolts with springs, letting the target swing free at the base.
Pistol calibers I setup around 10-12 yds and rifle no closer than 40-50 yds.

I've got mine w/ bolts and spacers behind hanging from chain making it angled down. Shot 223/all kinds of pistol calibers and never had an issue up to 10-15 ft.

I just set mine up yesterday and shot them today. Swinging Shot it with 22 and .45 at about 15 yards today. I am already planning on more. I'll put some pics up tomorrow.
