    According to a friend, you can take out an insurance policy on Anyone...as long as you pay for it. Altho it does tend to require personal info like birth date and having a valid interest (like being a movie producer, etc).

    You have to have "insurable interest " like your ex that is raising your child (custody) or some other situation that would directly impact you financially( burial) if they died.

    50 million is a very conservative count. Most things I have seen or heard put the count over 100 million, the Chinese alone are at least that number
