We did the 8 mile section from US31 to US84. The river gauge was between 4.6’ and 4.7’. I had 18 people in my group and everyone wants to know when we’re going back!

kayaks and canoes were invented by the Indians to dump white folks in the water....convinced of this...

How well would canoes do on that run at that water level? Thinking of going down this weekend with wives and kids.

My last trip was on the section from bull slough bridge to Brooklyn. This was the only spot that could be an issue ( but was a lot of fun). Currently the water level is over a foot higher so this spot will just be an area of rippling water.

Hard to comprehend that this huge mound was built with one basket of dirt at a time.

That looks like fun. Proctor creek is a good one too. Water level has to be down though. Lots of dead falls over the water, limbo time.

Rebel Rider! I took my S&W Governor with .410 for snake medicine.
Whooo Doggies was I undergunned bigtime!
So many hog tracks it looked like the swamp was entirely roto tilled.
I forgot to bring my big can of Bear Spray and was constantly lookin for a tree to climb if we encountered hogs.
    Thankfully none were seen/heard.

IH! Thanks for tip on tree!
Will return next January when deer flies and mosquitos are gone and check it out.

Yep, they are busy in there. If alabama resident and have license you can shoot from stationary boat at game on bank. I have the governor as well, but use the judge in case it gets dropped over the side $240 vs $700.....45 colt will kill em, short range.

I primarily paddle St Andrews Bay and the Gulf. If your going to play in the surf riding waves: a rudder reallly makes a big difference in control.
