So what's the total $$ tied up in that? Bet it shoots like a dream. All the parts on mine are factory. Cant remember what trigger it has. (2.5?) Its OEM and light. No porting or cuts. Makes better power from the 9mm. 6.02 inch.

Total is just over 3k. The most expensive part is the custom work from Boresight.

Well done. I think it's great that it can be built (what each part brings to the table and collectively: the end result) and appreciate what goes into it: yours and others shared here. Big investment to shave miliseconds and tighten groups. If used in a real BG encounter, it could make a difference. I like it but wouldn't go down that road, not a cost issue; I'm just a factory stock, Minute of BG Guy. Lol

Nice EDC setup. Who did the frame work?

    Thanks man.

I did it myself. I’ve done this frame twice, once with a small dot texture and this time with the “wagon wheel” tip from Oregon trail defense.

I’ve seen some pictures of people running optics with no back up irons on pistols. I like the idea of a less cluttered sight picture, so I’m gonna run factory sights for a while with my RMR . I feel pretty confident in my ability to shoot, as well as my ability to use just the optic without sights to help line it up. The rear sight still helps slightly, but it doesn’t poke over the RMR body. Also I have full confidence in the RMR or I wouldn’t do this.

I'm got a few sets of these lower cowitness suarez sights and I prefer these over full cowitness sights.

I believe standard. I got them installed originally by primary machine when they milled my slide. I don’t think they are excessively y’all, but I’m gonna try this out for a bit. Id really like a lower 1/4 th co-witness. Enough to use the irons If needed but mostly out of the way

Sometimes the story is bigger than the gun. I just picked up a S&W model 39-2 from another GCGF member. The first gun I ever owned is my Dad’s S&W model 52. The model 52 is based on the 39 with upgrades requested by the Army Marksmanship Unit. My Dad was a cop outside of Chicago in 1963. He was on their bullseye team. He started out shooting revolver and then his Dad bought him the model 52 in 63. I was born in 63 and my grandfather passed away that year - so that gun has a lot of family value. The 39-2 I just go was actually purchased in Chicago. As you can see from the picture - they are almost twins. I was so excited to be able to put these together. 349502AC-AE31-48CB-85DE-2B92D3E04E40.jpg

Builds coming along nicely. Tried out a trigger guard undercut for the first time and I’m impressed. Just need an rmr, suppressor sights and trigger

Decided to try out the Kagwerks slide stop on my new gen 5. Just waiting on the slide to get done being cut by jagerwerks and for the overwatch trigger to come in.

Just added a new SIG - the M17 Commemorative.

    wSyi6xm.jpg

Here is my new SIG SAUER pistol family pic.

I now have three of the pistols that were in the 2017 Army XM177 pistol trials competition - BERETTA M9A3, SIG SAUER M17 (Commemorative version), and GLOCK 19X.

Of the "Three", which one do you think is the Best? (Not best value contracting B.S.)

Quite frankly, I would be hard-pressed to say which is truly the best. They all have their merits. You could not fault any of them. It really comes down to personal preference. I suppose if I HAD to pick one, it would be the SIG based on my past experience with SIG pistols. I always tell people that anyone can be accurate with a SIG. I really like the action on them too. Do not get me wrong, I like my Glocks and Berettas too, but the SIG does have a slight edge on them for my taste.
