December 2015 Matches

I have been thinking of having another four stage pistol match on the Sunday event with a rifle side match. However, due to the closeness of Christmas to the Saturday event, I wonder how well it will be attended. Will a moderator post a survey here or another new thread to gauge the interest of YES or NO for the Saturday event as to whether they will attend? We can have another rifle side match on that Saturday or maybe we can squeeze three pistol stages on Bay 2 and two stages on Bay 3 with a total of 5. This poll/survey would give a better indicator of what folks would like. Pass the word around.

I'm in for both matches in December.

Just thinking ahead....I think there are some rule changes headed our way in 2016. Wondering if this will require everyone to re-qualify? If so, maybe we can do that in January.

I replied to Jogan's post that I and a friend are in for the Saturday match. Rifle side match would be great. I would also be up for a shotgun side match. Bought my first shotgun a couple months ago. Mike, John and Ed made it look so cool I had to buy my first revolver last week. I don't think I'm quite ready to shoot it in a match yet - but one day.

Bring him and if he's into guns, let him shoot. I can outfit him with a rig, if he needs one.

I would be down for both dates. This will be my first time at an IDPA shoot so I might watch more than anything so I don't get in anyone's way.

When I showed up to shoot my first match I really wish I had brought my gear to shoot.

There are new shooters pretty much every month which is great so don't sweat it. There is plenty of time so don't worry about slowing anyone down.

I would suggest reading the new shooters briefing on the IDPA page and then just come and jump in.

Best way to learn is to do. You can watch the other shooters while yoy are waiting for your turn.
